Hannah & BJ | Ticklebelly Wedding

July 4, 2017

Driving through the rain, Josh and I were staying hopeful that the weather would shift and gift the bride and groom with an outdoor wedding. We stopped first at , Hillside in St Andrews, where the girls were preparing for Hannah’s wedding. This was like walking into a room full of old friends! Majority of the bridesmaids (and bride!) were part of Emily and Kyle’s St Andrews wedding last year and Hannah’s family are amazing people. They instantly make you feel welcome when you enter a room. her parents were both so excited for their oldest daughter’s wedding, and their joy carried on throughout the day. Their family of five was growing by two, BJ and his daughter Devyn. Not only were they gaining a new son but a sweet little granddaughter.

Hannah could not wait for me to see Hillside! One of St Andrews Historic homes that was nestled between Katy’s Cove and the Algonquin (where the boys were getting ready!). This house had everything a photographer and bridal party could ever want; big huge windows, white walls and interesting furniture. The best feature was not the balcony but the gorgeous porch! I did not fear the rain because I knew we could always use that front porch for gorgeous pictures! The rain did lift, the spirits were high and we had a blast photographing the girls and guys!

Arriving at Ticklebelly Hill for the ceremony and reception, guests were amazed by the decorating efforts of Hannah and Natasha’s Weddings and Events. Details through the barn from roses and greenery, to a smores bar, antique tea cups for coffee and tea and gorgeous place settings. Every corner had the perfect touches and no detail was missed.

The ceremony was over within minutes and before the bride and groom could let it sink in, the speeches began. Roars of laughter filled the barn as every member of the wedding party had past transgressions, fashion disasters and rap hobbies dragged out and paraded for all the guests to howl over. The MC’s reminded the guests that they had here, a bride and groom who felt that their day was bigger then the nation’s 150th celebration. Looking around the overpacked barn at Ticklebelly Hill In Oak Bay, NB you could only agree. Family and friends came from all over, to see this amazing couple be married and to party the night away with good food, stories and dancing.

Thank you Hannah and BJ for having me as your wedding photographer, it was amazing!
