I love when people send emails stating they have finally found a photographer that they are really excited to work with!! Tara made the journey from Grand Manan Island to come to Saint John for her in studio session. The January weather has been bitterly cold so the entire session was shot in studio.
She had sent me a few images from Pinterest that she wanted us to reference. Using the pictures as an inspiration we created a session that is uniquely for Tara, instead of copying. Copying pictures we find on Pinterest of other web sources is often never as good as the original. Pictures can be incredible because of props, pose, lighting, camera angles, etc…so many little things behind the scenes that we may not be aware of. Instead we take the elements from those pictures and create something a little better! By finished product I would say we nailed it!
Tara was a natural in front of the camera and took direction so easily! One of the setups looked deceiving, it doesn’t look like it will be anything special (in fact it looked a bit ugly) but I knew she would be surprised…sure enough at her ordering appointment those were her favourite images!
I cannot wait for her little one to be born in a few weeks!
