Last fall was not only busy for my business but busy from an educational standpoint. I love taking new courses and I try to take them during the late winter and spring when my business is a little quieter. However, there was an amazing newborn course coming up…and I knew it was going to be a game changer for me. I loved my newborn work but I wanted to take it to a new level, I wanted my work to not only highlight those first precious days but also to be art worthy.
The downside was that the course was taking place during October, my busiest month! The hectic pace was difficult to maintain, there were quite a few late nights editing and my family only saw the back of my head while I stared at the computer screen but the results were worth every penny! The course was detailed and taught me tiny tips and tricks that I was able to incorporate to my newborn sessions. The feedback I received from the instructors was invaluable
When I am taking a course and learning new techniques I like to do casting calls. The casting calls were very specific for the time frame, I was looking to only do what my course required and every session started 24 hours before with me studying like crazy my notes.
Danielle was one of those that answered the casting call for her little son, Hunter.
