Sarah and I have a family connection, my youngest sister is married to Sarah’s brother Patrick. The first and only time I had met her was at Samantha and Patrick’s wedding almost four and a half years ago. Samantha’s wedding was one of the first I photographed solo in the beginning of my career. When I heard she was officially engaged I was so pleased to receive the email from Sarah to be their photographer!
Sarah and Chris both agreed that their wedding was a celebration of their love for each other. The focus was on having everyone who they loved, family and friends, together under one roof. They accomplished this goal spectacularly! The day was filled with happiness and laughter was constantly ringing out. It was standing room only for both the ceremony and reception because of the number of special people in their life! Nothing could dampen their spirits or joy on that day.
Sarah was stunning in her wedding gown and she had amazing taste. The vibrant blue was echoed in the little details from her flowers, to the scarves her bridesmaids wore and to the groomsmen and their ties. The venue was a cosy little lodge outside of Fredericton, the even though the weather outside was cold and brisk, no one felt the chill inside the lodge with the fires going in the wood stove and fire place. Family and friends celebrated, with happiness, the new couple and enjoyed gourmet pizza from a local food truck.
We were warned that the first dance/song was long and it was made more memorable when Chris serenaded his new wife during their first dance! No one could keep from laughing out loud after his performance!
Thank you Sarah and Chris for asking me capture your special day! It was a pleasure to spend the day with you both and capturing these memories! I wish for the very best for the both of you in the future!!
