I love returning families and when Janice told me that a new little sister would be arriving for Jack I was over the moon thrilled! I have been fortunate to work with this family when Jack was a newborn, then again for family pictures and now for little Olivia’s newborn session!

The session was girly, frilly and daintiness just like Miss Olivia! Adding Jack into a picture with his baby sister required some patience, him running with the carriage and a toy dog placed inside and then adding his little sister a bit later with the helping hands of her mother and finished it off with a little bit of Photoshop magic. The result is a stunning portrait of these two sweet babies.

This former Miss New Brunswick told me a few years ago when her oldest daughter was just a little over a year that she would be coming to me for her next newborn photos, I am so glad she did! her oldest daughter Adele was a pure delight! She played ‘pretend’ and kept me thoroughly entertained with her amazing imagination while I worked with her new baby brother Philip! Adele was a great helper by carefully holding her new brother and listening to instructions. She also insisted that he had a little blue in his set up and I am so glad for her input!

I love when older siblings want to help out and we can make them feel important when so much attention is going towards the tiny new family member.

Thank you Melissa for coming to the studio! I enjoyed the session so much and your sweet children.

Rosalie has turned one! (for those who do not know Rosalie is the youngest of my five children) It does not feel that long ago since we did her newborn session! I really wanted to have a cake smash with her and go a little over the top with her pictures. They are only little for such a short time and the year went by too fast. She will be our last baby and I have been trying to take in everyone moment and enjoy these special milestones.

We have had quite a few inquiries and we have decided we will be offering cake smashes in studio! A perfect add on for a one year session, something fun to celebrate their first birthday, with the traditional Enchanted Hill styling of simple elegance.

For Rosalie’s cake smash we wanted something a little fun, girlish and frilly. We went with the current popular trend of pink and gold, added the stars from the Enchanted Hill logo and some pretty ruffles and the result was sweet and perfect

Little Owen was so soft and snuggly! Like most newborns he was so happy to be curled up into those familiar womb positions, nice, snug and warm. He even graced us with a little smile!

Sometimes we get the request of their little ones smiling but we remind them that they don’t smile because we are particularly good at telling jokes or making funny faces but rather it is often from reflexes, muscles twitching or gas. Sometimes the fussiest babies with unsettled tummies give us the best smiles! (so if your baby is fussy there may be an upside! You will melt when you see them grin!).

Thank you Emily and Doug for bringing your sweet little son to my studio! I was such a pleasure to be able to photograph your new family!

Maya was so much fun to work with and she adored her little brother, which made capturing images of them together so much easier! Little Evan was so sweet with his full head of hair and serious eyes. For family pictures he even graced us with a sweet little smile (really could he have timed that any better?).

I am so glad we were able to accommodate Dad’s busy schedule too, sometimes the studio schedule is too busy to be flexible but that week everything fell into place and on day 11 we were able to schedule his newborn session.

Congratulations to this beautiful family on the birth of their little son!

Incorporated where some china dishes that belonged to her family, her beloved teddy bear and a few little touches from the studio prop collection. This session was full of energy and dancing and singing to kept this busy toddler’s attention and the end result are the sweetest memories! We were able to capture her giggles, her sense of humour and a soft sweet serious side. 

I love when clients return to me for sessions! There is something so special about watching a family grow, as I have with this sweet family! I have had the pleasure of photographing their maternity and her newborn pictures and now her birthday pictures!  Where did the time go?
