For the mothers who already know it goes too fast
Outside of the studio, my life is much quieter than most people expect.
I’m a mother of five, married to my husband, and most weekends are spent at home somewhere between family dinners, garden projects, sports schedules, and another renovation we probably didn’t need to start.
Our home is filled with old furniture I’ve thrifted over the years, stacks of books, quilts, half-finished creative projects, and photographs of my children everywhere. I’m always hunting for beautiful old things at flea markets and antique shops, convinced there’s always one more treasure waiting for me.
Lately, gardening has become a bit of an obsession. In the summer, you’ll usually find me near the water, walking local beaches or slowing down long enough to enjoy a quiet coffee before the day begins.
It’s a life built around family, rituals, memory, and home.
I think that’s why photographing motherhood feels so natural to me.
