As much as I love working with newborns, I also love working with babies! I love baby photography with that 6-10 months age group. They are still not walking, just barely crawling and sitting up on their own. They are full of smiles for strangers. They think kissing noises and animal sounds are hilarious. Will work for milk 🙂 Who can resists their gummy grins? Showing off a couple of pearly new teeth? They are chubby and ropy-poly. Just squish able, huggable sweetness.

Babies grow up so fast and before you know it they are hitting those milestones of sitting up, saying their first words and the appearance of the first teeth. We also do milestone sessions that are based around the ages 6-9 months, it is easiest when your baby is finally sitting (mostly) unassisted!

This is a great time to capture them serious and smiling! Giggles and unique expressions! The studio has a little wardrobe for little ones and we encourage clients to bring a few favourite outfits.

I love being able to do Saint John baby photography! You could say that I am a little bit baby crazy! What is there not to love about them? They are sweet, squishy and make anyone smile! I still get excited when a client books their appointment with my studio.

I will photograph babies at any age. Although people would love to achieve those curled up newborn pictures sometimes baby’s have their own agenda (and may be a bit too old). This does not mean that the pictures are any less cute! It is still important to capture babies when they are small.

Miss Penelope arrived and was full of personality! She made eye contact, made everyone work hard for smiles. Of course I managed a few little snuggles with her (because that is the best part of the job and who could really resist?).

During her session it was fun getting to know her parents, seeing how she had her Daddy wrapped around her little finger.

I love the images from this session because it highlights her sweetness, amazing eyes and the roly polyness of this age.

Her Mom wanted ‘cute’ and when I pulled out the little bear hat I think we could have all eaten her up! She instantly brought big smiles to everyone’s face!

I love babies but I always warn parents that I cannot guarantee I will get any smiles…I mean, I am a stranger holding a big honkin camera making weird animal noises, trying to catch the baby’s attention. Usually they just stare at me wondering who this weirdo could be.  Miss Katherine wasn’t sure what to think of me and suddenly it was like the sun was shining because the smiles came! Her entire little face lit up and she allowed her sweet little personality to come out! I loved doing this session, cute babies help but also great parents who were well prepared and easy going.
