When Raelene asked me to be her wedding photographer I was so excited and honoured. She is my sweet sister in law and I adore her and Mikey! I love working with couples that I knew previously, it makes the day even more exciting and fun! I had the honour of watching my own little daughter be a flower girl and help the younger ring bearer and flower girl, to meet Raelene’s best friend Alex who was as sweet as she had been described. More importantly to see all of Raelene and Mikey’s family in one room together, celebrating this amazing well loved couple as they begin their lives together.

Raelene planned her day beautifully! From the table arrangements, to her ‘blush’ champagne wedding gown, the cheesecake dessert bar to the amazing menu (with seafood supplied by her mother!).  The most impressive? Their wedding party!! So many wonderful friends and family!

It was an honour to be beside Raelene and Mikey and capture their special day. I wish you both so much love in this new season in your life!!

Emily and Kyle’s St Andrews by the Sea stood out because of the intense love that surrounded them from their family and friends. The day was filled with huge smiles and laughter was always ringing out. The couple were so relaxed and so happy that their love story that began many years before was being celebrated with everyone who they loved.

The weather kept threatening to rain a little so we pushed through the bridal portraits quickly only to have the sun break through and extra time to create some beautiful images. We went down to the St Andrews Wharf and then commandeered Water Street for an epic picture!

The small details that her friends and family added to the wedding were meaningful and so appreciated by the bridal couple. The reception and speeches kept the guests in stitches of laughter with tales of their journey to the alter that began with diary exerts from a teenage Emily!

I am so blessed that Josh and I have had the opportunity to meet this wonderful couple and capture this moment in their lives.

Working with couples that you know well and have photographed a few times makes my job so easy and combined with working in my home town? I knew this day would not disappoint!

Brandon and Rachel hired me a few years ago after she won Miss New Brunswick and we captured their engagement when the snow was thick on the ground. They are an easy-going couple who are best friends first and have an amazing bond. They both love to have a good time and Rachel has amazing taste! The wedding was held at the legion in St George but with Natasha from Natasha’s Weddings and Events Decorating and event planning? It was transformed into an elegant venue that word and amazed every guest who walked though the doors. Every detail from her tables to flowers was perfect.

The weather held back the rain and the bride and groom were able to have their pictures done on their own property, of the new house they recently purchased. We were able to see some of the fall leaves that were just beginning to turn.

Their wedding was filled with family, friends, laughter, and good cheers!

Frankie has been good friends with my husband since they were little boys. Julie’s laid back attitude and infectious smile set the tone for the day. The wedding was held at her mother’s home on the shore of Lake Utopia and the weather could not have been more beautiful.

It was incredible to witness their joining. So much love from their family and friends. Everyone could not be more excited for this couple and their beautiful future that awaits them.

Michelle and Denver were only recently engaged and had yet to do any wedding planning except for booking their engagement session with me! Within only days of inquiring we booked their session, pushed the time a little ahead due to some clouds that threatened to rain on us.

We didn’t have very much time beforehand to get to know each other but during the session we all got well acquainted. Of course I had to ask, how did he propose? This is always a question I ask all engaged couples, Michelle and Denver  were no exception. Michelle instantly smile and her eyes light up when she described how it was romantic because he wrote the  big question in the sand. I couldn’t help but grin back at them as I watched Denver’s own smile as he gazed at his fiancée. Michelle explained that they have been together for 7 years…I would venture to say that this would make it her lucky year!

Michelle and Denver must have thought I was a little crazy during the session…we played a couple for silly games, I had them dance, and a few others little weird things. The point of the foolishness? The laughter, the fun and capturing those looks passed between each other. Michelle is beautiful and when she smiled, Denver instantly smiled.  I cannot choose my favourites because there were so many great images!
